Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ravenia for reminding me of Major General Smedley Butler, U.S.M.C., who would have been Fascist dictator of the United States in the 1930s except for one small problem -- he was a patriotic American who despised Fascism from the bottom of his heart.

He also spoke and wrote eloquently against war as a tool of corporate profit.

Yes, Virginia, there are such, even in the military.

After all, an old soldier has seen too many die for the flag to like to see it used to cover foreign conquest, domestic tyranny, and sordid corruption.

Paranoid fantasy of the extreme Left? Plot of a bad political thriller?

Think it can't happen here?

Think again!

Not Pat. John.

The reporter who uncovered the Bush family connections to Nazi treason.

Now coming to a Republican primary near you.

I may not have to change my party affiliation after all.

There is also a blog.
