Jacko Innocent After All?

DECEMBER 9--A confidential investigation by Los Angeles police and child welfare officials concluded earlier this year that allegations Michael Jackson sexually abused a cancer-stricken boy were "unfounded," according to an internal government memo obtained by The Smoking Gun.

The probe's findings were based, in large part, on interviews with the alleged victim, his two siblings, and the boy's mother. According to the memo, when the child was questioned in February by a social worker assigned to the Sensitive Case Unit of L.A.'s Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS), he "denied any form of sexual abuse" by Jackson and said that he never "slept in the same bed as the entertainer." While not specifically named in the DCFS memo, the 45-year-old Jackson is referred to repeatedly as "the entertainer."

The memo notes that the boy, now 14, and his 12-year-old brother--who also denied sexual abuse--expressed "a fondness for the entertainer and stated they enjoyed visiting his home, where they would often ride in the park, play video games, and watch movies." The pair's sister, now 17, told a social worker that she accompanied the boys on "sleepovers at the entertainers home," but had "never seen anything sexually inappropriate between her brothers and the entertainer."

Go ahead and throw stuff at me, but I can't help hoping that he really is innocent. Though even if he is publicly exonerated, a great many people will believe he got away with it.

I'm part of the minority here; I don't think he does anything innapropriate. I think Michael never had a childhood and therefore takes solace in spending time with children and making sure with everything he has that those children do have what he did not.

That is a good way to explain a lot of the weirdness. It is a relief to be able to think of it that way.

I still think he's a freak, but if you lived your entire life in front of the whole world, you'd be a little odd too.

No, I would like to have him innocent, I hate to think of anyone having serious problems as he's been accused. If he does have problems, it should be more of the light in helping him, than punishing him for something they don't even know if it's true or not. I think he's awkward with babies (his own for instance) but I honestly think his intent is innocent and he really does love children (in the proper way) and just wants to make their lives a little happier. I don't know the truth, but none of us truly do. It's easy for some people to cast stones at someone that's not of the norm, and follow the words spoken loudest but maybe not truest.
*hugs*

I hope he's innocent too, if only for the sake of any alleged victims. He's certainly not grounded in reality, and I wonder if his boundaries are a little blurry, but I do have to give him the benefit of the doubt. What I'm really hoping for is a change-of-venue for the trial!

It bothers me greatly that there are a goodly number of people that seem to want MJ to be guilty.

Agreed!

I have to agree, I've been hoping that the abuse is unfounded. Not only do I not like thinking that another child was abused, but I've always had a soft spot for Jackson. Though I've found some of his actions odd, I've really always felt a little bit sad for him. I think his childhood had to have sucked.

I also get the sense that he doesn't have too many people around him who are telling him that what he does is weird... That he tends to isolate himself so that his children's masks, the sleepovers with kids, the neverland ranch and other oddities aren't questioned before they make it into the news. And by the time they do, he's already convinced they are rational and reasonable actions. Which, who knows, sometimes they might be.

Throwing stuff at you

You heartless man! To want to do away with perfectly good joke fodder in such a way!

You can BEAT IT, but be careful about it.

He may very well be innocent. If he is, I hope justice serves appropriately. However, innocent or not, he must stop putting himself in these bad situations.

If the police suspected that I did drugs, it would probably be a bad idea for me to hang out in a crack house. Know what I mean?

Sometimes, people get punished just for being stupid and that may be some kind of justice after all.

But doesn't that apply to any human that does things differently than the norm? Regardless of what the police expect, not all officers are on the straight. If there were two suspects for the same crime, both with valid points that could be considered evidence, which would they follow up on and think about more? The person that on the outside appears to be a law abiding citizen, or the person that is into S&M that wears leather and carries a flogger? Granted, there's lots of situations that can be apparent, but which person do you think they are going to wonder about more? The norm? Or the odd?

Makes me wonder where they got the testimony that MJ plied the young boy with wine to make him 'more pliable.' I still say MJ is innocent until proven guilty, but he must stop acting like someone who is guilty. His behavior is odd, to say the least, but continuing to put himself in these situations is not going to help at all and there will be more incidents if he doesn't change his behaviors.

I'm sorry he had a bad childhood, but it doesn't help that he has so much money and so little impulse control. A bad childhood mixed with fame and fortune is a lethal combination. One thing is certain, MJ should get some psychological help and help children from a distance for a while.

I hope that he's innocent, for everyone's sake.

I hope that he finds love, as well.

It looks like there's no evidence whatsoever against him.

Why are they after him over nothing?
