Guess the Author -- Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] artricia.

"He could feel her heart beneath his hands. He moved his hands slowly lower still and she arched her back to help him and her lower leg came against his. He held her breasts in his hands. Oddly, he thought, the lower one might be larger. . . ."

Oh, no, not the bear! Anything but the bear!

I did not click on the link
so likely I am wrong and not even
apposite...

hi...uh what is the "mao" part?
I will add you to my friends list
if for no other reason than your name
ephraemsyrus as this is a saint I admire
a good deal, you know the icon on the
cover of his paulist press book has
a quotation against laughter but it is
not from his poems in fact so let the
good times roll...
only I have rather many friends so would
prefer it to be mutual, to give reading time
to those who read mine, check mine
and see how it seems...and blessins in
any case

You are very off. It is Scooter Libby!

[identity profile] seraphimsigrist.livejournal.com 2005-11-06 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
well of course it is and I didnt
click on the link as I said but it
just reminded me of the efforts
of Andrew Greely the priest
sociologist who has written a number
of novels and I was making a small
jest, perhaps very small in deed...
but his efforts to write sex scenes
seemd to go a bit beyond what a priest
need attempt and also to be rather lame,
and so I thought of him...
he is however a good man I think who
has written some things worth reading
as for all I know may be Mr Libby.

Ah, I see. However, I don't think Libby is a very nice person. Nice people don't get into government. :)

Bill and I speaking of government/...

well that may be...nice people
may not. my feeling is that most
nice people also are not always
nice...people are complex,strange
and wonderful in ways too is sort
of the limit of my research,
I got a call just this evening really
from Bill Clinton I picked up the phone
and he said "I am your neighbor Bill
Clinton"(and it is true they live
a few miles awway) he was however clearly
a tape and I held the receiver at arms
lenght as he gave a list of people I am
likely to not vote for ...I was hoping
there would be some space to poot a
pungent comment on the tape but he
had it set to click off at the end
so...
so I can say I was on the phone with
a president this evening and that
is something.

Very true! You could always go throw rocks at his house if you get mad enough... :)

The final part of the acronym stands for "My Ass Off." :)

I hear you about adding friends and not necessarily reading them. I don't have all that much time to devote to LJ these days, and when I do get around to it I often find that several threads of conversation have already passed me by. But what the heck; I'll friend you in return and see how well I do.

This is going to turn out as effective as the Tower Commision during
Reagan's second term. The most to hope for is some kind of Nixonian
"he was a bad guy" thing to try and steer political debate away from
the right in the future.

Lots of luck.
