"The Hamdog is a hot dog wrapped in cheese then in a half-pound hamburger patty, then deep fried. The "dog" is then placed on half a hoagie bun and covered with chili. A thick slice of bacon and a fried egg are added on top; the dish is accompanied by French fries (and, in my case, some habanero hot sauce and two imported draft beers). It’s common for two diners to split a hamdog.

"For dessert, my gal, Jean, and her mother, Bev, and I shared a Twinkie that had been dipped in egg wash, then in pulverized Cap’n Crunch cereal, then deep fried. For presentation, the nice people in the kitchen squirted it with artificial chocolate syrup. Hey, this is Elvis food! Enjoy it. Enjoy it very much."

Brad Edmonds on LRC. Where else? And you ask why I am a paleocon!

awesome.

I love Edmonds food suggestions.
On the other hand (yeah, I have a lot of Other Hands. Just call me Shiva) I think mushing the ground beef to cover the dog in a tube would be better. As he describes it, it would be too thick to eat comfortably. (yes, I have an issue with burritos for similar reasons)
