I won't say I got the job. I will say I signed the contract and W4 form, and was told to expect to be given the details of my training by email. I think we were all told that.

I volunteered for the night shift at the higher wage. Annualized that would bring in less than the bank, but more than teaching school.

Of course it's only a three week job, but with a strong hint of another to follow.

Come to think of it, what can't they outsource? On-site hands-on training of the end user, that's what. The sites are hospitals, the project is automating patient records. And not everybody can deal with doctors and nurses on their own turf.

I am looking forward to this. And to not having to borrow the kid's babysitting money for food and subway fare.

Now let's hope I don't have cancer. Maybe a little virgo...

Thanks for all the good thoughts, and don't stop now.

Frank.
