Not Waiting for Uncle Sam

"From a 50-acre research facility on the outskirts of Las Vegas, the 60-year-old entrepreneur can survey the length of the city's famous Strip, home to some of the biggest hotels in the world.

"Still, Bigelow has his sights set higher -- 250 miles higher, to be exact.

"Through his latest business venture, Bigelow Aerospace, the hotel mogul, who caught the space bug as a boy in the 1950s, has been quietly building the world's first commercial space station."

Great timing. I'm quite excited. I just saw this elsewhere, posted it in my LJ, and then realized you posted it in yours as well.

Meanwhile, I have enough of my life ahead of me that I might just be able to go to his space hotel. Here's hoping!

Why not? I think you are much younger than I am -- and the pilot of SpaceShip One was a bit older than me!

Well, I also hope that you are able to go, if that is something you want to do. I'm unsure of your age, although I am 21, so the answer is most likely "probably."

But yes, why not? The past few months have seen so many advancements, hopefully the pace will continue.
