You are the Celtic Cross: This cross was first made
out of stone and is often found atop hills, in
front of castles and in graveyards throughout
Ireland and Scotland. The stone was carved with
various symbols including a circle or halo
(representing eternal life) and variations of
the celtic knot.

I was quite seriously taught when I was small that an Ankh was a "Coptic cross". The first time I told someone that as an adult, I was quite loudly laughed at.

Well it is, isn't it? I mean it's some kind of cross -- I've seen it called crux ansata. And it's Coptic in the sense that it comes from the Copts, that is, the pre-Arab, pre-Muslim Egyptians.

I don't know that it was ever used by the Christian Coptic Church. Probably not. Maybe some Gnostic group might have, but this is sheer speculation.

Of course in the '70s and '80s it became associated with various vampire games and cults and whatnot, which may have been what the person who laughed at you had in mind.

But there was nothing Gothic about the Egyptian idea of life, which the ankh probably should symbolize.

It was someone studying Egyptian mysticism... they thought that was pretty funny, making the ankh over into a cross.
OTOH - when my son was very small and had become accustomed to seeing my friends wearing an ankh and knew what it was, we were standing outside one day when a group of street preachers went walking by. They were lugging a huge wooden cross with them. My son looked at it for a minute, then started pointing and loudly saying "Ankh! Ankh!" and we all about fell down laughing.

I was wrong. This shows the ankh used in a Coptic Christian context and transformed into a kind of cross: http://www.art-and-archaeology.com/egypt/egy160.html

You are St Brigid's Cross: St. Brigid is an Irish
saint who hand-wove a cross, out of rushes she
found by the river. She made the cross while
explaining the passion of our Lord to a pagan
man.
