May I interview you?

If you post a comment saying "Interview me" or words to that effect, I will reply with five questions. These you can answer in your own journal, and, if you like, see who among your friends wants to be similarly interviewed by you. Behind the cut, find
coollibrarian's questions and my answers. I have also offered myself to another LiveJournalist, and, if those questions arrive, will answer them in a subsequent post.
1) Why did you choose your Christian denomination that you're part of?
Sh. Careful with that C word, you might scare some of my friends off. Seriously, though... I find in myself a need to participate in public worship, ritual action if you will. I find myself able to take part in the Divine Liturgy of the Eastern rite without feeling an utter fraud and fool, and in the Eastern theology I find a God worthy of worship.
2) What is your favorite "spiritual" book?
Poetry, Vernon Watkins perhaps, or the later Cantos of Pound.
If the question was intended as a followup to the first, as a sign of the spiritual tradition to which I have affiliated myself I might mention Soloviev's Meaning of Love or anything by Berdyaev, who has inspired me for almost forty years, almost as long as Kierkegaard.
3) What song or piece of music is the most likely to elevate your spirit?
The Adagio of Bruckner's Eighth.
4) Who would you like to vote for in the next presidential election?
Bush, if he can force Israel to come to terms. Otherwise, whoever is most willing to stand up to them.
5) What's one of your favorites places in the world?
Santorini.
