Oops. Sorry. Fixed it.

It seems that the Tsar -- the one in Madrid -- appointed a Patriarch. Next is a good ESL teacher.

Mr. Swift Eagle Justice looks way too happy to be both Patriarch AND Grand Duke. I didn't think Russian aristocrats were permitted to smile that big... and I'm pretty sure that Orthodox clergy aren't allowed to wear their vestments in GlamourShots.

Whew, thank you!

Hasn't anybody noticed that Putin always sits in a throne-like chair with a banner with the Russian Eagle and Crown artfully framed for the cameras just above his head, kinda like an icon halo? And he hangs out with the Patriarch of All the Russias. Another Vlad in the Kremlin?

As Phil Dick was wont to say, "The Empire never ended."

Wow, it's the Orthodox version of some of the Anglican groups that consist of a fully-dressed Archbishop with two congregations, neither of which has a congregation more than 8, holding Solemn High Pontifical Mass in his aged mother's garage.

Well, from the website and the document you shared, I'd steer very clear because it sounds pretty off the wall. Everything confuses a seeker these days, what with noncanonical, canonical, parishes, theology that isn't truly Orthodox, political agendas. Some canonical parish pastors even spout Protestant fundamentalism, then folks like me are berated and condemned to hell when they leave unchrismated. :D ~A

If I'm not mistaken that's a curtain rod with a pineapple finial. Finally, Home Depot has affordable eccesiastical items!

I think the real one wound up in the prop room of Excalibur.

Wasn't a deacon defrocked for not changing out of his vestments to chase a dog out of the church?

But the smile I like.
