This and That
Jun. 7th, 2006 03:01 pmTime for my shower -- but I am out of clean clothes, and had to put a load in the washer -- and when I went down to put them to dry, the rinse water was still going in...
There we go. Better late than never.
My hospital project was supposed to be over last weekend. But now they want me back tomorrow night (through Friday morning) and Friday night (through Saturday morning). And of course the money would be welcome.
Got my teeth cleaned yesterday morning from 8:30 to 10:30. Next appointment she starts the fillings and restorations, and may have word from the implant committee. Then down to the Atlas Barber School for my early Summer haircut. And what I saved on the haircut I spent at St. Marks bookshop, on a history of Freemasonry in Scotland in the XVII (sic) Century, and a manual of the New Hermetics by a fellow named Newcomb, which looks to be highly practical and generic. Good dinner at the All State, where I discussed contemporary medieval German bagpipe music with Nick of A Brief View of the Hudson and the macabre with Diane of the O'Debra Twins, and obtained the new email addy of the bartender, to be assimilated to my LinkedIn group. Two Jack Daniels helped things along, about as much as I can take these days.
Did little today. Well, I did wash clothes. And when they are dry I shall proceed to Franklin Street, a block from the Lafayette Grill and Bar, and the Manhattan home of Nyack College, for my graduate class of five fundamentalists, who had an unplanned holiday last week because the plumbing was broken, and I took the opportunity for a sentimental walk around the World Trade Center.
Later.
