[livejournal.com profile] apprenti just called to say that he is now the proud father of a daughter, born yesterday, to be named Sophia Pascale, 9 lb 13 oz, 21 1/2 inches, with lots of hair, fingernails and toenails needing trimming already. He assures me that her name owes nothing to The Da Vinci Code or the late P. B. Randolph. Nothing at all. Mommy is doing well. I have permission to tell y'all that January 19 is now a double birthday. (Come to think on it, perhaps one of her names should be Roberta. Never mind.)

Maya told him that Sophia was one of the names we were considering for Srsti. Actually, more than considering -- Bridget, her second name, I took to be the Keltic equivalent of Sophia. Nothing to do with the Da Vinci Code (nothing at all), which hadn't been written yet. Though Maya did know one of the authors of Holy Blood, Holy Grail, who is now sueing Mr. Brown for plagiarism...

Congratulations to all.
