The Music Returns
Feb. 9th, 2005 04:51 pmThe little girl, if one may so speak of a Hunter College senior, has gone off to tutor, and asked me to lock the door behind her. On my way back in I encountered in the hallway a bag of stuff I was permitted to leave the office with the day I was outsourced, about five books, which are still there, and six CDs, which are in front of me, the Shostakovich 8th (Haitink), which I had been looking for in an disorganized sort of way, two by Faruk Tekbilek, Havergal Brian''s 3rd, which I'm not sure how I feel about, the Goldberg Variations played on a pair of eight stringed guitars, and some traditional marches performed by the Luftwaffenmusikkorps. (Yes, at work I used earphones.) So I am a happy camper. I wonder what the books are. I noticed a rather depressing spy story by Bill Buckley on top. Will take a look next time I stand up.
I have summed up the Churchill case pretty much to my satisfaction, at least as it relates to Boulder. I will look at it again tomorrow, tweak it, and decide where to paste it in. Meanwhile, in case anybody is still interested ( Read more... )
Feel free to comment if you like.
Now back to the hallway.
Later: New developments in the Churchill case:
