How You All Got On My Friends List
Feb. 10th, 2003 01:25 pmOf course I know a couple of you face to face, and this is how I got started. Then I cast a wide net with my interest list. That enabled me to find folks with similar interests here: http://www.livejournal.com/interests.bml?mode=findsim -- very unusual interests are weighted more in the similarity index than common ones. (This page might only work for paid users.)
Lately I have been reading my Friends of Friends page, and sometimes I read something that makes me want to read more of that person. Again, this may be a paid only feature, but this is the URL: http://www.livejournal.com/users/[your user name]/friendsfriends. (Of course you have to use you own user name.)
Of the 235 odd folks I have friended, 116 even odder ones have friended me back. For which I am grateful.
Frank
